BENJAMIN M. OVIOSU - CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Benjamin M. Oviosu is the Founder and CEO of BMO Projects Ltd., specializing in energy and commodities trading across Nigeria and West Africa. With over seven years of hands-on experience in the oil and gas industry, Benjamin has successfully managed multimillion-dollar trading portfolios and optimized operations across dynamic and complex markets.
Prior to establishing BMO Projects, Benjamin served as Chief Operating Officer at Octogone International, where he:
• Managed a $418 million crude and refined products trading portfolio, optimizing liquidity and reducing operational costs by 34%.
• Spearheaded government-to-government crude oil contracts, working on behalf of three African governments under Power of Attorney agreements.
• Collaborated with global oil majors such as Glencore, Shell, BP, and Mercuria, leading the KYC and due diligence process to ensure compliance with international regulatory standards.
• Led trading operations at key oil terminals, overseeing daily truckload sales in a dynamic open market with real-time pricing.
Earlier in his career, Benjamin gained invaluable insights into the upstream and downstream oil sectors:
• At Technip, Trendsetter Engineering, and Compact Manifold and Energy Services, Benjamin worked as a Project Installation Engineer, managing subsea engineering packages, vessel upgrades, and deepwater field developments.
• At Clarksons Platou Shipping Services, he refined his understanding of tanker operations and ship brokering, which later informed his success in logistics and port operations.
Benjamin’s dedication to excellence extends to professional development. He completed the BP Third Party Trader Course in both 2018 and 2023, reinforcing his expertise in global trading practices and risk management.
Benjamin holds a B.Sc. in Maritime Systems Engineering with a minor in Economics from Texas A&M University and an M.Sc. in Subsea Engineering from the University of Houston.
ADELEKE ARIYO - BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT LEAD
Mr. Adeleke Ariyo began his career with First Bank of Nigeria where he worked for over 15 years in various roles in Customer Service, Marketing and Technical Support.
He holds an Accounting degree from Osun State College of Technology.
